Wedmore with Old Gits 31

Out with some of the Old Gits today. I know its not Tuesday, but some of them like to have a pootle round the countryside at the weekend so why not join them. Not a bad morning for it, dry although a cool NE breeze.  They never told me that part of the route is on part of the Mendip Hills with some challenging (to us anyway) inclines.

Nice viewpoint

Just past Loxton there is a viewpoint looking south across the Somerset levels. This location is also at the top of a fairly steep climb past Webbington Hotel so a good place to take a breather.  From l to r, Les, Phil, Geoff and John posing for the camera.

Pumpkin Tea Rooms, Wedmore

A good choice for a tea break, a little tea room come deli, in the main street at  Wedmore. A little bit pricey, £4 for a cup of tea and a scone, but quality food and service. If you like olives, head for this place, they have a real variety of loose olives for sale.

The other four went on to Highbridge and Burnham, but I peeled off at Mark taking the total for the ride 31. Nice to have done my weekly quota with a day to go.
