Old Gits Dash 24

Old Gits Day. The weather forecast was pretty good, up until mid day and then rain was forecast. It was decided to try and make sure we were back in Weston before the floods arrive.  Not a bad turnout today, a dozen in all doing the usual circuit.

Caffle's Cafe

This is the usual watering hole for the gang, Caffle's at Hewish, east of Weston. Normally we are 2/3 into the ride and a cup of something and cake or toast goes down very well. There is also a fair bit of friendly bantering going on which keeps us tethered to the seats for about an hour. Cut that short slightly today and this is the group, fed and watered ready for the last 7 or 8 miles.  Timing was perfect, the last 1/4 mile it started to rain but not enough for us to get wet. Very shortly afterwards it tipped it down.

Strava wasn't set at the start and shows 22 plus but it was really nearly 24 miles. That is my story and I am sticking to it.
