Well, Weston has gone into Banksymania overdrive this last couple of days and this blog is picking up on that. Went for a spin down to Burnham on Sea, into the wind on the way, which made the journey home very pleasant.
Dismaland
This has gone global in the news, Banksy. the famous street artist, along with other prominent artists, have taken over the Tropicana for 6 weeks exhibiting art which reflects all that is wrong with theme parks and the entertainment industry. This is the outside of the Tropicana. I sure if you googled Dismaland you will get more than enough information about the inside. Very dark and quite hard hitting. Not recommended for kids apparently.
Bike Secure
Whilst at Burnham, stopped for a cup of tea at the Bay View Cafe on the prom and couldn't find anywhere suitable to secure the bike until I spotted this concrete lion. He did a splendid job. If you want my bike, it comes with a 500lb lion!
Banksymania
On return to Weston called down by the Tropicana again to see the crowds gathering. Some with kids I notice. It looks, from the press coverage if it could be really interesting so, when the fever dies down, will pay it a visit. If the price of £3 entrance is correct it will be worth it.
An interesting and pleasant 31 miles today.
