Wellesbourne Wander 25

Spending a couple of days in Leamington so taking the opportunity to have a ride out with Graham. A bit of a cold day today so layered up well and out with the ski gloves!  Had a good ride out through Bishops Tachbrook to Wellesbourne, and back through Warwick.  The layers worked fine except for the feet. Note to self. Get some overshoes.

The Bear in the Spa

The last time this appeared on this blog it was the Heathcote Tavern.  There was a suggestion that it was going to be turned into a Tesco Metro but obviously, that has been superseded by the new owners who have turned it into a pub/restaurant.  Paid it a visit after the ride with my sister and was pleasantly surprised by the decor and the menu. The pizza was very tasty and at 2 4 1 was good value.

Wellesbourne Cafe

Gave the airfield cafe a miss as I was there yesterday.  Called at this cafe in the village centre, tea and toast warmed us up a bit before heading back to Leamington.

25 miles today. Good ride and good to catch up with Graham.
