16th November 2014 Hatton Hop 30

Fortnightly visit to Leamington so organised a ride out with Graham.  We met at the Heathcote Pub at Whitnash ( which looks like it is having a makeover, rumour has it to a Tesco Express) and decided to go out through Wellesbourne, over to Hatton  and back to Leamington via Leek Wootton.

Norton Curlieu Lane

Making our way across country from Wellesbourne to Hatton we nogiated the long drag up towards Norton Lindsey but cut the corner slightly by going up Norton Curlieu Lane.   Half way along the lane is this charming house set back off the road. Good place to stop and take a photo, the hill was getting a bit steep at this point!

Hatton Locks Cafe

This has been on here a few times. It has been a long time though since Graham and I came here. Unfortunately, it was not quite warm enough to sit outside today despite being unseasonably warm. Did not want the tea cakes getting cold too quickly.  Left here and went towards Beausale and back through Leek Wootton and Warwick to Whitnash.

A good ride in good company. Clocked just over 30 this morning.
