Ride out to Wellesbourne after watching the London Marathon. I cannot believe that the winners travel at the same average speed as I do on my bike. Done this journey quite a few times now and its hard to find new subjects to photograph.
SOX
In between the Saxon Mill and Gaveston Island on the Coventry Road, there is this memorial. Some time ago there was an accident here when a vehicle collided with a horse. Unfortunately the horse died and went to Tesco's, sorry, heaven. The owner later planted daffodils at this spot and they form the word SOX, the name of the horse. Over the years the name is not so distinct unfortunately.
So just the one picture today. Went over to Wellesbourne and had a cup of tea and treacle pudding, delicious. Shame there was a long wait for it. Shouldn't have gone Sunday lunchtime. A nice 23.5 miles in a fresh wind.
