31st December 2012

Last day of the year.  Not looking too good outside and the choice seems to be watching Peppa Pig with the grandkids, or do a few miles in the wind and rain. On with the lycra then! I can never quite understand the problem with exercising in the rain. OK. You get wet. The first thing you do when finished is to put training gear in the wash and then stand in the shower.
Need to do at least 10 miles today to exceed my personal best for a month. Honiley Boot here I come.
Sheep

Going past a farm on the outskirts of Beausale, noticed the sheep were all penned in.  Lambing time is very close so it makes sense to keep them close. They all seemed very content and were quite happy to pose for a picture. They agreed it could go public.

Geese

On the other side of the village in Hasely Knob, these geese were making a racket. Must have mistaken me for a food provider. Not sure if these escaped being Christmas dinner or next year will be their big moment. Only 358 days to go boys.

Honiley Boot

At least that is what this hotel used to be called. I suppose Honiley Court sounds better. It is more upmarket than the average hotel in all fairness.

Beausale
Not much to say here. This is going back through Beausale on the way home.

Thats it for this year. Did more than my target for the year, 1500 miles in total, better than the 100 a month I planned. Looking forward to pushing the boat (sorry, bike) out a bit further next year. Happy New year to you.
